  • What is acupuncture?
Traditional Chinese medicine provides acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi — believed to flow through pathways in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance. The art of acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. • Guasha explained?
Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese practice used for improvement of energy flow and blood circulation. Gua sha is intended to address stagnant energy in the body that can be responsible for inflammation. Inflammation is the underlying cause of several conditions associated with chronic pain. Rubbing the skin’s surface with the Gua Sha tool helps break up this energy, reduce inflammation, and promote healing.
  • Cupping explained.
Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine. It utilizes a technique that uses small cups or jars as suction devices that are placed on the skin to disperse stagnation and congestion. The cups work by drawing congested blood, and negative energy to the surface. The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen tight muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system making it good for pain relief and reduction of inflammation, relaxation and general well being.
